Resolution of Intent
This and its companion piece, Muse of Decision, are interpretations of figures that appear in Giorgio De Chirico paintings. A little sexier than he might have them, but I thought this was an exciting extension or my earlier Brancusi-esque work.
The material of the head, Huckelbuck, is a brick conglomerate forged by the factory from the various shards of un-fired brick. Absolute murder to work with. It destroyed my carbide tools and the inconsistency of the hardness from spot to spot made getting a smooth transition almost impossible.
