I had just moved my studio to an “Arts” building in Hoboken, and I had been trying not to start any new sculptures and concentrate on promoting my work around Manhattan.
I found the branch on the street while I was walking back from the PATH train. The tree crew had come through trimming and dropped this incredible branch in the road. I couldn’t resist and it became part of the series.
